My name is Ashley Wilhelm. I am originally from Asheville, NC but am currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am studying Business Administration and Statistics & Analytics with hopes of pursuing a career in marketing.
My passion for people often manifests itself through a tendency to get lost in human connection. I am captivated by others and tend to naturally share the joys and sorrows of my loved ones. Human connection is one of my greatest joys in life. I am at my best when I ensure that those around me feel celebrated, seen, and appreciated. I love people; thus, my infatuation extends beyond my desire to form connections, as I am constantly analyzing people to understand what makes them who they are. This passion is also evidenced by the enjoyment I find in evaluating the thought processes behind decision making and the motivators for behaviors. Often, I find myself assessing why someone made a specific choice and how those choices correlate to their internal desires and passions. Insight into this process of decision making plays a crucial role in understanding consumer behavior. I am seeking to pursue my education to expand upon these personal interests as I prepare to enter the corporate sphere.
Over the past two years, I have had roles as a Marketing Intern at DMR Design Build and a Trade Show Intern with The rAVe Agency. As a local young life leader, I mentor at risk high school students and provide them with faith-based guidance. In my free time you can find me cooking delicious meals, walking with friends, or reading romance novels!
